Ellie is a writer/director based in London with a passion for telling stories about young people and coming of age themes. She is currently in post production on a queer short she directed as part of CBBC's teenage monologue series that will premiere on BBC iplayer later this year.

Her short film, They Found Her in a Field, won the Hijack Visionary Filmmaker award at Aesthetica Film Festival 2019. It had its world premiere at BFI Flare 2019 and was in competition at London Short FF, Leeds International and w as nominated for directing at Underwire FF. Her 2017 short film,Outlines, also screened at BFI Flare and was nominated for the world renowned Iris Prize Best British Short. In 2017 she was awarded a Children's BAFTA for her work with the online educational company History Bombs and last year was selected for BFI NETWORK's prestigious Weekender programme for minority filmmakers.
